Phubbing: snubbing someone in favour of your mobile phone. We’ve all done it: when a conversation gets boring, the urge to check out an interesting person’s twitter/ Facebook/ Youtube/ Pinterest/whatever feed can be overwhelming.
It it sometimes inevitable, and the reasons can be:
1. Your date’s just plain f**king boring,
2. Everyone else’s in the vicinity is doing it,
3. Don’t want to look awkward standing alone at the bar,
4. I JUST NEED TO TOUCH MY PHONE ALL THE TIME!!!
We know we can’t stop it, but that doesn’t mean we approve it. Nor will it stop us from making the whole world know you did it.
